Martín Mainardi es el fotógrafo subacuático más publicado de Argentina, en medios de publicación masiva. Como freelance ha viajado por todo el mundo persiguiendo historias y capturando imágenes para ilustrarlas.
Colaborador de las revistas Tiempo de Aventura (desde 1998) y Weekend (desde 1992), sus artículos y sus fotos han sido también publicados en las revistas Gente, Aire y Sol, Semanario, Cuerpo y Mente en Deportes, Sportmax, Buzos, De Cerca, el Diario Clarín, Contacto Profesional de Kodak, Ochentamundos y la revista Buceadores de España.
